Appleseed is a mission community that connects world-changing educators and helps them fulfill their calling.
Who We Are
Appleseed is a network of caring people who believe that to reach young people, we need to start by connecting with and serving educators. To make this happen, there is a volunteer team that connects with and serves educators in your school, organization, church or community. This group is called the AppleCore.
AppleCore teams are volunteer led.
- Anyone who cares about educators and young people can be part of Appleseed!
- Our primary local leadership, however, are the retired educators in your community.
- Working together, the team invests in current and future educators.
- Our “by educators, for educators” approach makes Appleseed a dynamic force in any community.
- The team helps others in your community better collaborate with educators.

Appleseed Projects take root when at least one person in a school, group or community wants to start employing Appleseed’s relational methods to connect with and serve educators.
Appleseed Projects come in all shapes and sizes. Some of our efforts include:

Appleseed Projects come in all shapes and sizes. Some of our efforts include:
- One retired educator serving one teacher-friend and their students.
- A dozen retired educators connecting with and serving educators in every building in their school district.
- A youth organization intentionally connecting with educators to become part of a community-changing collaboration.
- A team connecting education-students with retired educators and current educators who want to mentor and support them as they launch into their own careers.
- Let’s talk! Appleseed is only limited by the creativity of the teacher-loving people in your community.
